Halloween Coaster Mini Albums

Halloween may look like it’s over but it’s not what it seems.  If there is candy in your house, stuff still on clearance at the store, and pictures on your camera ready to be printed… it’s not yet over.  Take advantage of all the clearance sales going on.

I found this 8 pack of Halloween themed coasters in the dollar section at Target and knew what I was going to make with them…. a few mini albums of Halloween.

Supplies: 1 Pack of Halloween Coasters from Target (makes 4 albums), Crop a- dile, Crafty Bands (Epiphany Crafts Tool) and some crafty stash I already have at home to decorate the books.

Cut some cardstock down to size (these coasters were an easy 4 inches x 4 inches) and corner rounded the edges.  I used my Crop-a-dile to cut through the chipboard coasters and the paper.  Tie some ribbon (loosely so the book can open with ease) through the holes to bind the book together.

Next decorate and add pictures!  You can use lots of scraps since the album is only 4 inches.

You al know how I feel about the Epiphany Shape tool… and I just love the size of the circle from their Crafty Bands tool (it’s my favorite size!!)

My daughters are loved by many and received lots of Halloween greeting cards this year… I quickly eyed their stack and knew they would make cute embellishments.  These epoxies were made from a card the girls got in the mail.

I am going to keep my eyes peeled for more themed coasters from them, these were too easy to make!

Halloween Treat Bags

Halloween treat bags are officially being made, and what a great feeling that is.  Candy isn’t always first on the list at Halloween, occasionally it takes a backseat to baked goods.  You all know that the normal kraft bags show grease spots or basically any spot once you put food in it.  Wax bags or glassine bags come in handy for baked good items.  I made these bags because I knew they would be the perfect size for brownies, a slice of banana bread, cookies, becuzuluvme blog coffee cake slice… ok you get the picture.

I am notorious for buying paper so I can cut it up and use it as embellishments.  The tickets… cut from a 12×12 paper, the Frankenstein head?  Cut out from a 12×12 paper, The witches wart circle?  Yep,  you guessed it cut out from paper.  Do you see a pattern here?

Everything on this treat bags was cut out or stamped.  Super easy, super simple, totally doable.

Now get to creating!

Halloween Must Haves This Year

Halloween is one of the holidays that I am slightly obsessed with.  I have no idea why…other than I love orange.  You would think that I celebrate this holiday year round with the amount of crafting supplies that coordinate with this holiday.  I cannot help myself this year.  I am adding to my ever growing, one time a year, collection.

To the top of the list goes…

Remember This????  Well here is how I used it for one of my very own PL pages.   For this page I used BH Design E page protectors.  This is one of my all time favorite pocket designs.  The papers I used were from Doodlebug Take Note Collection along with some New Mambi Chips.  What did you do with this month’s sketch?
